This is a rendition of the famous 13th century Latin Catholic hymn, "Dies Irae"
(or, "Day of Wrath," about the Second Coming of Christ and Judgment Day).
This rendition is off the 1994 CD, "Ego sum Ressurectio," and is difficult to find.

Streng protestant en anti katholiek opgevoed, heb ik op een bepaald moment de knop omgezet en kon ik voortaan objectief naar dit soort muziek luisteren.
zo kan ik nu ook zo genieten van verschillende vormen van het Avé Maria.

Over gregoriaans?
In een hele moeilijke tijd in mijn leven heb ik vaak en steeds weer een half uur tot een uur mijn CD met gregoriaanse muziek gedraaid.
Afhankelijk van de tijd, die ik nodig had om helemaal weer op rust te komen.
Na verloop van tijd werd dat steeds korter en kon ik ook van de muziek genieten.
Het leek veel op meditatie.
Daar is ook steeds minder tijd voor nodig om effect te bereiken.

"An Arabic Christmas Carol" en ook de Gregoriaanse muziek stemmen tot nadenken.
't Is niet de boodschap die verkondigd wordt maar de muziek die indruk maakt.

Hoe het precies werkt weet ik niet maar het is rustgevend,net alsof
je even uit je 'denkraam' getild wordt en op een ander niveau komt.
